More than fifty new models of Flexible Fuel Vehicles (FFVs) have been announced by automakers for the 2009 model year.
“New models like the Lincoln Navigator, Buick Lucerne, Toyota Sequoia, and Toyota Tundra make an excellent addition to the vehicle lineup,” said Phil Lampert, Executive Director of the National Ethanol Vehicle Coalition (NEVC). “We’ve come a long way since the introduction of the E85 compatible Ford Taurus in 1995.”
NEVC member automakers have placed badges on their new FFVs to display their E85 compatibility. The organization’s website, www.e85fuel.com, has more details on how to identify specific FFV models.
